The Journey of Lewis and Clark and other Tales from Way Out West is children play that tells the stories of Native American legends, jump on The Pony Express, Jane Calamity, and Gold Rush in the historical expedition to the Wild West. Because the play had many short stories, the production team decided to set the play in an alien work, retelling the story based on their understanding of American History. We were inspired by Circus performances because of the portray of the otherworldly. And we wanted to tell the story in a fun, playful setting that will invite children to dance and clap with the actors.
